Senior Designer
We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our small in-house design team based in the Chelsea design district. This role lies at the heart of the studio and is essential to maintaining our first-class reputation and to the smooth running of our projects. We are looking for a ‘right hand’ who will take ownership of the delivery of the studio’s projects and help us continue to build on our exceptional reputation.

Reporting directly to Samantha, you will provide Interior Architecture and FF&E design direction and delivery across multiple UK and US based projects.

- A confident, trustworthy and charming person who is comfortable interacting with clients, suppliers and contractors
- Good project management and leadership skills, a confident troubleshooter capable of handling multiple projects at once
- Someone who shares a similar aesthetic, principles and ethos. The studio is intentionally small and intimate in its set up, and it will be essential that there is a good personality fit
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- Leading the creative and conceptual process of a project from initial concept through to design intent package level – this includes all design and FF+E drawings, schedules and specifications and related project documentation. Candidate must have a keen eye for detail in all areas of the design process – including experience in joinery packages
- Present concepts and project presentations to clients. Offering a seamless, personable, ‘nothing is too much trouble’ dedicated service
- Managing the project process; leading meetings, preparing agendas, site attendance, design programs and liaison between all parties through to project completion
- Building strong relationships with suppliers, craftsmen and clients
- Deliver confident, experienced and skilled space planning, applying knowledge of the planning process and building regulations where applicable
- Coordinate and oversee the project’s documentation, ensuring comments and revisions are always up to date. Managing and checking information from sub-contractors and suppliers
- Close projects efficiently, rectifying snags and wrapping up projects us as quickly and seamlessly as possible
- Design and develop bespoke furniture alongside Samantha to grow our capsule collection, The Warborough Collection
- Streamlining processes and procedures across all avenues within your remit
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- A degree or equivalent in Interior Design/Interior Architecture
- 5-7 years post graduate experience in the luxury residential sector
- Full proficiency in CAD, Adobe Creative suite, Microsoft, Gmail and drop-box systems
- Experience in Vector-works and EstiPC would be a bonus
- Comprehensive knowledge of FF&E with a strong directory of suppliers, products and finishes across furniture, joinery, lighting and sanitary-ware
- Experience working on all aspects of projects through concept to installation/ completion, applying a strong awareness for deadlines and programs
- A broad understanding of the financial aspects of a projects
- A tactful, reliable and friendly team player who is keen to help the company grow and excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a rigorous dedicated approach to work
- Excellent communication and presentation, fluent English in both verbal and written fields
- Be able to work at a fast pace individually and as part of a team, managing and multi-tasking workload priorities
- Experience of working on various projects scales
