We took on the full refurbishment of a pretty but worn Victorian cottage in London, giving it a much needed infusion of style but also added practicality. Coral pink grasscloth is a background canvas throughout the central core of the house creating a seamless feel from the ground floor up. We removed the tired lean-to rear extension and in its place created a lovely open plan kitchen with skylight, French doors into the garden, and a black and white awning to add an extra dimension to the space. A small bedroom on the first floor was turned into a bathroom, becoming a spacious and super luxe master suite. As part of the complete reconfiguration of the floor plan we reimagined the top floor into two bedrooms with a new bathroom built into the eaves. What was a well loved family home, with quite segregated spaces, is now an elegant inviting house that flows seamlessly from room to room with much more functionality.
